Top 15 states

Texas alone accounts for more than two fifths of all U.S. users. Beyond that, the distribution spreads across major university hubs — California, New York, Virginia, Illinois, Massachusetts — suggesting discovery primarily through academic networks and course links.

All states at a glance

Every U.S. state, plus the District of Columbia, now has at least one active user — Alaska, previously absent, picked up its first user in this period, and West Virginia joined with five. Engagement remains highest in states with large public university systems.
